...at W&M![]() In 1994, the Prices joined the faculty at the College of William and Mary in Virginia, and have been spending one semester each year in residence there. Their base is the Anthropology Department, which has recently inaugurated a Ph.D. program in Historical Archaeology and Historical Anthropology. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of their interests, they have joint appointments: Richard Price is the Duane A. and Virginia S. Dittman Professor of American Studies, Anthropology, and History, and Sally Price is the Duane A. and Virginia S. Dittman Professor of American Studies and Anthropology. At William & Mary, Richard Price teaches courses on such subjects as the African American past, ethnographic history, and maroon societies, while Sally Price teaches a variety of courses on museum studies and art in cultural context. |
